Science Teacher

Umesha is a former Biological Science student of the Girl’s High School Kandy. A leading chess player, dancer and has a deep love of teaching science. Umesha’s passion for teaching includes helping students grasp scientific concepts while developing a love of learning.

Science Teacher

Raguvaran is an old Sylvestrians, a science enthusiast and an artist who is passionate about teaching science and mathematics. Now, he designs and teaches highly engaging and effective science lessons online while continuing his studies in Information Technology at the University of Colombo.

Diluxmi Malapichai

Mathematics Teacher

Luxmi used to teach math to high-school students at Craighead and Kathirasan Hindu Ladies College. Now, she develops content, teaches math and in addition studies BIT at the University of Colombo. Luxmi believes that education is more than working hard to get grades but it is a lifetime pursuit and the means for self-discovery. Therefore, a teacher’s aim should be to develop students’ curiosity, love for learning and help discover their strengths, passions and their purpose in life.

Kesara Chandramal Athukorala

Mathematics Teacher

Achieving a district-level higher rank at the grade 5 scholarship examination Kesara entered one of the leading boy’s schools in Colombo to pursue his secondary education. Having passed his Advanced Level examination in Physical Sciences, Kesara is waiting to enter the university. With his extended mathematical knowledge and passion for teaching math, in the interim, Kesara joined Lanka Virtual Academy to teach math.
